Lynne Ellyn

Lynne Ellyn, 51, is senior vice president and chief information officer at DTE Energy (NYSE: DTE), a diversified energy company involved in the development and management of energy-related businesses and services nationwide. Ellyn leads an organization of approximately 800 people who provide information technology strategy, development and operations for all of the DTE Energy companies.

Ellyn originally joined Detroit Edison, a subsidiary of DTE Energy, in 1998 as vice president of information systems. Ellyn has worked in a variety of industries and has held senior leadership positions at Netscape Inc, Organic Online Inc, and Xerox Corporation. She also spent over nine years working for Chrysler Corporation.

Ellyn earned an undergraduate degree with concentrations in computer science and management from Oakland University and a master of business administration degree from Michigan State University through the Advanced Management Program for executives.

Ellyn serves on the board of the DTE Energy charitable foundation and on the board of the Edison Development Corporation, a venture and investment group making investments in emerging energy technology companies. Outside affiliations include the board of trustees of the Detroit Science Center, the advisory board to the Dean of the Decision and Information Sciences School of Oakland University and the technical advisory board of Incap Corporation. Past affiliations include; board of directors for Pantellos corporation and an advisory board member to the Dean of the University of Michigan Dearborn Business school.

Crain's Detroit Business Newspaper recently named Ellyn as one of the 100 Most Influential Women Business Leaders in the metropolitan Detroit area. 8/02
