education

The Center does not offer a formal degree program at this time. At the
undergraduate level, a student can major in complex systems by
arranging an "Individual Concentration Program (ICP)." At the graduate
level, CSCS offers a certificate program for students simultaneously
enrolled in a graduate degree program at the University of Michigan as
well as select students and professionals from outside the
University.
In addition to the formal educational opportunities the Center sponsors two student-run research groups: the Complex Systems Reading Group (CSRG) and the Complex Systems Advanced Academic Workshop (CSAAW).
For students in the departments of Economics, Political Science or Public Policy who are interested in complex systems, we have an NSF funded IGERT PhD program fellowship called IDEAS.
