Lab Computers

The following is a list of lab computers on the cscs.lsa.umich.edu domain that are available remotely via SSH (Linux) or Rdesktop (Windows). That is, for any of the machine names below, e.g., lastrada, you can connect via lastrada.cscs.lsa.umich.edu .

Overall, the CSCS computer facilities currently includes approximately 30 Intel-based machines, running Linux (Red Hat Enterprise 5 or 6, except where noted). Additionally, two Windows terminal servers are provided for Windows-specific research. (Note that accessing Windows terminal servers requires further steps. See here)

All the linux machines are 64bit machines; exceptions are noted below. They have 4-24G ram. You can see how much ram many of them have by entering:
